NOS Partners & Donors

	Nevada Commission for National and Community Service (NCNCS) -- the Nevada Commission for National and Community Service strenghtens Nevada through AmeriCorps and volunteerism. As a partner, NCNCS currently provides NOS with 9 AmeriCorps state members that provide support and volunteer efforts to Winnemucca and surrounding communities.
	Friends of the Black Rock High Rock--Friends of Black Rock/High Rock unites people, diverse users and communities to experience, appreciate and respect the Black Rock Desert /High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area.
	Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Winnemucca Field Office--an agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior, administers 261 million surface acres of America's public lands, located primarily in 12 Western States. The BLM sustains the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. NOS partners with the BLM Winnemucca Field office to bring outdoor education, interpretive programs and volunteer projects to the Black Rock Desert High Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
	Friends of Nevada Wilderness--Friends of Nevada Wilderness is a wilderness education and advocacy group that strives to keep Nevada's wild places wild.
	Nevada State Parks--the Division of State Parks plans, develops and maintains a system of parks and recreation areas for the use and enjoyment of residents and visitors. The Division also preserves areas of scenic, historic and scientific significance in Nevada.
	United Way of the Great Basin--To improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities to create sustained changes in community conditions, creating community impact.
	Sierra Pacific Power Company--SPPC is not only the leading source of electrical energy in Nevada, but also a loyal and generous contributor to NOS. SPPC has provided NOS with funding for a month of renewable energy education and also a Jeep Cherokee for transportation. Thanks SPPC!
	Nevada Natural Resource Education Council (NNREC)-- Nevada Natural Resource Education Council is a catalyst of environmental literacy.
	AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service To America)-- AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) provides full-time members to nonprofit, faith-based and other community organizations, and public agencies to create and expand programs that ultimately bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty. Currently, there are 5 AmeriCorps VISTA members at NOS who are helping to enrich the lives of the people living in Winnemucca.
	Sierra Nevada Journeys--is the leading provider of experiential education and science enrichment in the greater Reno/Tahoe area.
	Public Lands Institute--The Public Lands Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, specializes in education, research, and community engagement projects related to public land management and stewardship
	Summit Lake Paiute Tribe--Summit Lake Paiute Tribe is a Federally recognized Indian Tribe located in Humboldt County in Northwest, Nevada. The reservation is about 30 miles north of the oregon state line, and about 50 miles from the California state line.
	British Trust Conservation Volunteers (BTCV)--The charity was set up in 1959, and has a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and around the world. Their mission is to create a more sustainable future by inspiring people and improving places
	Safe Haven Rescue Zoo--Safe Haven Wildlife Refuge Center, Inc. was founded in 2000 in Marengo, IL, to serve the needs of wildlife displaced by habitat loss due to urbanization. They are now located in Imlay, Nevada and provide wildlife rescue, veterinary care, direct contact for emergency care, referrals to other facilities, and community support and education.
	Burning Man Earth Guardians--Earth Guardians inspire the Burning Man community to embrace Leave No Trace(LNT) principles and practices. They also visit the Black Rock desert outside of the Burning Man event both to introduce participants to the beauty of the area and to participate in restoration and education activities.
	Great Basin Institute--The Great Basin Institute is an interdisciplinary field studies organization that promotes environmental research, education, and conservation throughout the West. The Institute advances ecological literacy and habitat restoration through educational outreach and direct service programs.
	National Fish and Wildlife Foundation--A nonprofit established by Congress in 1984, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation sustains, restores and enhances the Nation's fish, wildlife, plants, and habitats.
