NOS Partnered Programs
Since 2017, we have had a NOSome Assistance Agreement with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Elko District to help staff the California Trail Interpretive Center (CTIC)
At CTIC, visitors can experience life size dioramas, original murals, exhibits on the native peoples and productions depicting the trek of the early pioneers.
They can hike on accessible trails, through a wagon encampment and see a Shoshone village.
It is a beautiful educational facility, and a partnership that opens a lot of possibilities for NOS programs!
The Trail Center is open 5 days a week!
We are excited to have Macy Rohr, as a NOS employee, in place as Programs Coordinator for the Trail Center providing field trips and Traveling Trunk classroom visits to Elko County School District students and enhanced visitor interpretive experiences to the general public!
