 Nevada Outdoor School is proud to operate its own AmeriCorps program, partnering with organizations across Nevada to expand opportunities in outdoor education, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Through this program, AmeriCorps members serve communities throughout the state by delivering hands-on learning experiences, supporting youth development initiatives, and helping people build meaningful connections with the natural world.

AmeriCorps members dedicate a year or a summer of service to strengthening their communities through roles as environmental educators, conservation stewards, sustainable agriculture educators, and wildlife advocates. Their commitment to service helps create lasting impacts while inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.

Through partnerships with organizations including the Nevada Department of Wildlife, Red Rock Audubon, Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance, The Greenhouse Project, Nevada Division of Forestry, and Friends of Black Rock High Rock, AmeriCorps members gain valuable professional experience, leadership development, and specialized training while contributing to conservation and education efforts throughout Nevada.

These dedicated volunteers play a vital role in advancing Nevada Outdoor School’s mission by increasing access to outdoor learning experiences, promoting responsible stewardship of natural resources, and strengthening connections between communities and the environment. In return, members gain meaningful career experience, leadership skills, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the communities they serve.
